Glad to see that the network partially responsible for the fall of Milosevic is now showing classy dramas like, er, Spartacus Very Happy

Nice logo tho. B92 has come a long way since its days as a youth radio station in the late 80s.

Speaking of Milosevic, this is what Serbian state TV's English-language news looked like during his rule, in 1994:

And moving south one country, this Macedonian news intro from 2010 -- A1, which went bust in 2011, was a commercial broadcaster -- looks vaguely familiar Wink :

Wow nice find, didn't even know they had an English programme.

Pretty nice package, though that ident before the Sparticus spot is absolutely terrifying!

I hate how this still continues to happen. Broadcast Design seems to be the only remaining area where blatant plagiarism is acceptable.

It appears that B92 is where Slovenian public television got the "inspiration" for its globe made up of cubes:

Brazil's Rede Bandeirantes (or "Band" for short, as you may already know), has launched last week Acontece ("[It] Happens"), a Saturday afternoon newscast, reviving (once again) the name "Acontece", used for their weekday afternoon bulletin in the 1990s, and revived many times in the past few years either as a national bulletin or as a local newscast for its São Paulo station (as São Paulo Acontece - "São Paulo Happens").

Listen to the typewriters going off in the newsroom! Kind of pre-historic - 1990! (Yeah, kids, life before computers dominated!). The other scary thing is that, despite the typewriters, the overall look here - the set, music, finance graphics, the ID, etc. - is more aesthetically pleasing than what they do now. Not to mention ALL NIGHT NEWS on Ten! And that badass news theme! Ahhh, those were the days!

By the way, the transitions between programs, the sponsor and the clock are more "primitive" because it is a regional affiliate of Ten.

I didn't realise how faithful they'd been to their theme over time, there's little difference between that and their current one:

While we're on the subject of ARD, apparently they will be launching a new set in December this year.
