International News Presentation: Past and Present

Sounds about right. Given its purpose, I'm not surprised it's self contained.

Compilation of 2021 TV news intros from French overseas territories, including public service (La 1ère) and commercial TV channels (viàATV, Kwezi TV, KMT, Canal 10, etc.).

Here's a brand-new compilation of all the Lokalzeit editions:

A possible cyber attack has taken out Nine's live Sunday morning programmes in Australia. They usually air a weekend version of Today at 7am then live sports programmes from 10-1pm, but a network wide outage (not just at their Sydney studios) has prevented them from doing so, with concerns they won't be able to get their evening bulletin on to air too.

Looks like a 'foreign actor' may be involved - Nine has requested Government assistance from the Signals Directorate, the Australian version of GCHQ & NSA.

Seems to be mainly affecting the new Sydney studios. The Sydney 6PM bulletin was replaced with a combined Sydney/Melbourne 6PM bulletin produced from the Melbourne studios.

Teletext is also quite popular in Germany.

One last new look to feature.
Denmark's DR1 back in January introduced a new look for their Sunday current affairs programme, 21 Søndag.
As for TV Avisen, the intro and set is the same, just new graphics featuring the new DR Publik corporate type were introduced recently.

Perhaps the first relaunch we won't be able to cover here on TV Forum...

VRT's Het Journaal in Belgium is relaunching on Monday, April 5th. Het Journaal has had some brilliant looks over the years, including it's 2008 look which is still one of my favourites.

Here's the current look, which debuted in 2018. This was a slight tweak to the 2016 look...



And here's a report on the new look, from Friday. They're spending just over a week in a temporary set, so looks like the Furio cameras will remain.

Previously, 21 Søndag completely shared graphics with the standard news bulletins ( TV Avisen ). The new look was specifically launched to distinguish the programme from the news - with story graphics drawing inspiration from magazine covers. While the programme still comes from the main news studio, there's now a green screen off to the side, which provides the home base for 21 Søndag . (The first few weeks, there was quite a noticeable green tint to the presenter! But it looks like that's mostly been fixed up now.)

In other developments: last week, DR's daytime and breaking news bulletins received a new look - tying them in more closely with TV Avisen . They're now using a refreshed secondary set (see tweet below), which mimics the look of the main studio for TV Avisen . There are also new titles, using the same music as the flagship evening broadcasts.

Awww. That has to be one of my favourite news designs. Sad to see it go, but I'm really excited to see what they come up with next.
