A promo for newscasts on ČT3, Česká Televize's channel geared towards the elderly, created in March 2020.


It can be noted that the presenting style is very sober: a journalist reads the news behind a small desk, old-style.

Just over 10 years ago, on 11th March 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred. This quake resulted in over 15,000 deaths, and caused devastation across the country. News coverage from the day is widely available on YouTube, but most long form coverage is from either international broadcasters, or NHK. However, the full 1st hour of coverage from the TBS television network has been uploaded, and shows how the team battled through communication issues and aftershocks in order to keep viewers up to date.

I wonder for how long ČT3 will keep operating, given that Česká Televize themselves said that this is a temporary channel due to the coronavirus pandemic

A new promo, from Slovakia this time, for a weekly programme which launched exactly one week ago on Jednotka, the public-service's first channel: Správy Bez Kravaty ( News Without A Tie ) which features positive stories from Slovakia and the world.

Certainly a refreshing complement to the torrents of worrying news currently.
