It looks like TVNZ Breakfast will be staying on air to provide updates on the Tsunami Warning. Idk what they're doing over on The AM Show.

The AM Show will be handing over to Newshub at 11am local time (in a few minutes). I wouldn't be surprised if TVNZ does the same.


Look's like TVNZ is staying on till 12pm according to the website.

Also looks like there will be a news special at 4pm.

Edit - They've just handed over to the main news team.

Looks like TVNZ had some problems with the logo earlier.

TVNZ is geoblocked as well I thought but I’ll give it a go

Such a relaxed breaking news programme. Comments to reporters from presenters who birthday it was to have a bit of birthday carrot cake! Hopefully a non news story.

Honestly, I think they're breakfast programmes are much better than ours.

EDIT: As of approx. 1:30pm local time, the warnings have been downgraded, and those who have evacuated have been told they can go home. However, people are still being told to stay off beaches, harbours, and out of the water. TVNZ has just wrapped up coverage and handed over to Coronation Street.

A special beginning of yesterday's tagesthemen (ARD, Germany): Because of the 50th birthday of the children's programme Die Sendung mit der Maus ("The programme with the mouse"), the Maus was standing next to the tagesthemen anchor during the opening sequence, and the voice over was done by Armin Maiwald, who's the presenter of that children's programme.

Also, anchor Pinar Atalay's first sentences were in Turkish, ending with "That was Turkish" in German. That's a typical element of "Die Sendung mit der Maus", as the overview segment is always done in German and afterwards repeated in another language, as a kind of riddle.

Samantha Armytage is to leave 7 Sunrise after 8 years. Again, as did Melissa Doyle, Sam is set to stay with the Network.

Seven is also leaving the Martin Place Studios in the next 2 years to move to 7's HQ.
