BBC Oneness - idents and presentation

What is genuinely amusing is how we are on 72 pages and so far only 2 of 20 idents have been shown! If the other 18 idents are equally as derived, this could be the longest thread in TV Forum history!

I haven't read everything I'm afraid. But is TV Forum - for once - absolutely unanimous that it's awful?

Yes! Despite some quiet reserved judgements at the beginning!

The concept is sound enough, implementation is uninspired.

Just adding some audio with a consistent sonic logo would help immeasurably.

Just watched the Points West interview about the idents and he says the Hippos ident ran for 14 years - which is incorrect.

The CA at BBC Scotland must have been so engrossed in the Zumba ident into QoS that she forgot what channel it was...

"Now on BBC wo, two, one Scotland..."

Here is that clip, I forgot I had, i have been looking for Star sting. more like distress having to look at Zumba, BBC would have been better just using the nice red stings in to the programmes. actually there also very nice SPORT promo on that clip aswell, if that any use?

I've not been around TVs or computers that much over the last few days, and can guess the detail of the last 72 pages, but just to add - not a fan of this look at all.

I didn't realise it would be for every junction - 2 idents is far too few (even if there are slightly varients of both). They were not particularly exciting on their first airing, but after one night's viewing - totally bored of them. They look really out of place.

I believe the last 2 sets before the Circles; that is, Rhythm and Movement and the Balloon; had sound motifs.
