BBC Oneness - idents and presentation

So simple and effective.

Great concept. Funnily enough, I was thinking about how I would do a potential Oneness replacement a few months back, (never got round to making a concept of it since I am terrible at that sort of thing!) and the idea was similar to this, showing different landmarks round the country, and have at least one from each region that could be used as a local ident.

Keep your eyes open.

Do you reckon we could be seeing the new whatever is happening tonight or within the coming days? Everyone has been saying keep your eyes open but I'm unsure whether that means tonight or the coming days.

Is it really going to take a global pandemic to get rid of Oneness?

It won't, any more than nuclear war would (apparently) not kill cockroaches

That's the big question. If BBC One is getting a new look, was it already planned (i.e. would've happened pandemic or not), or did they conclude, exactly what I've been thinking since the lockdown started, that the Oneness idents are unsuitable in a world of social distancing? If the latter, the replacement is probably a quickly produced CG graphics package. They won't have been able to film anything.
