And another compilation showing how TV2 covered the election:

Interesting. I quite like seeing how the Nordic countries handle Elections. The TV2 stuff is interesting for a number of reasons. The first debate in that clip is hosted by Natasja Crone, who hosted the Eurovisiong Song Contest in 2001 (!) Also the second debate appears to be coming from their studio in Copenhagen's Central Railway station, which I think hosts their version of Breakfast.

I know that there were quite a lot of Brits in Copenhagen working on the Election coverage - particularly comms engineers providing RF cameras. There were a LOT of them in Christiansborg.

Sorry, just to clarify my own remarks - I don't think the first show in that clip ("Test dit valg") was a debate. It was a discussion programme involving different groups of voters (eg. 'first time voters', 'school teachers'). You can see a bunch of clips from TV2's live blog from the night. The second show - in TV2's Copenhagen railway station studio - was the first leaders' debate, which (from memory) happened on the night the election was called.

Yeah - Test dit valg roughly translates as "Test your vote" or "Test your choice".

I think it might be because according to the video description, the source video is from a VHS, leading to the analog distortion.

I doubt that's why it looks so dated.

I wasn't commenting based on the picture quality. More the studio design and graphics...

If it weren't for the LCD monitors and prompts it COULD be the 80s...

For some reason it reminded me of this 1992 TV4 Sweden format :

The Germans really don't do VR very well do they? It's better than ZDF's Heute I suppose.

I love Germany, but it really doesn't do an impressive job with television at all.
