Erm is it me or is the opening title sequence and music sounding somewhat familiar!?
Yeah, we have mentioned it before on this forum. Basically the composer sought 'inspiration' from David Lowe's work.

I believe that David Lowe was actually hired to compose it -- at least that's what the YT comments say.

It's sad to see how far backwards Seven has gone in terms of content and presentation. Most of the stories in that opener are of a quality Seven would never consider running in today's sensationalist bulletins, whilst their presentation has become stale and conservative. Thankfully, after years at the top that are starting to lose by significant margins to Nine News in all east coast markets, which will hopefully drive renewal.
For the sake of people not familiar with Australian television; the Seven Nightly News bulletin is also a local newscast; each major city had their own version. The bulletin which aired beforehand is another local bulletin for a specific regional area.
From Australia, the end of a local newscast and the beginning of Sydney-based
