I recently posted a description of TV Patrol from a book written in the early 1970s. Do you know if there are any clips from that era online?

A unified high-definition graphics package and studio was rolled out across Canada's Global Television Network on its local newscasts.

This is an example of what you'd see on the local news at Global TV's larger markets.

I like it overall. The look of the virtual set goes against the global trend towards more elegant, minimalistic design, but I think it works (and it showcases HDTV well):

Hmm - if he didn't then I think the composer who did must have listened to his score for the BBC a fair few hundred thousand times, to get it sounding very close it it!
