WKAQ Telemundo Puerto Rico, 2017:

Quite a nice implementation of the Telemundo corporate look.

It's a shame how they gutted a once decent station during NBCU 2.0. The station wasn't the traditional Telemundo affiliate (where the others carry the full schedule) but rather produced local programs. Now it's a more traditionally owned station.

In fairness, it's probably a direct result of Univision's entry into Puerto Rico in the 2000s. Also, another bit of trivia is that WKAQ carries WNBC on a subchannel, which makes sense given the massive cultural relationship between New York and Puerto Rico.

That and the fact that Telemundos Breakfast shows in 2009 from Puerto Rico to Hialeah. Additionally they've been hurt by the economic crisis.

I'm trying to think what effects the Atlantic time zone has on the station - is there a separate program feed for when day light savings time ends on the east coast. Right now they'd be in sync with the east coast but what happens when the east coast falls back?

Puerto Rico even had an terrestrial all-news station in the 1980s -- an impressive feat for an island with a population just over three million! Here are some bits and pieces of WSJN's output:

Which is actually a shame given Univision effectively shut down the Puerto Rican news division in 2014, leaving Telemundo Puerto Rico being the only game in town for local news.
