Last Monday a new tv-station for the Austrian city of Salzburg called Salzburg plus started.

Guess you'll recognize the music they use as station id and also their news-opener:

Will BBC sue them? It's a part of music package exclusively for BBC London Radio's Breakfast Show.

It's hard to know, when it comes to audio packages, they are cheaper if you are prepared to let the company, such as Music 4, license them to other broadcasters around the world provided they aren't in the same country as you. There's more than likely other stipulations like it must not be a mainstream channel etc but it's perfectly possible.

The Real Mackay video blog answered a question once as to why another country were using the STV News at Six music - as vague as it was, it still explained it.

However, on the subject of that one, it appears the tracks they use on their bulletin happen to be the same ones available for audio audition on the Music 4 website!

You mean, this? (and its follow-up)

And the video clip in question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfuq3HfoGUU
It is Realitatea TV who uses that theme... for their weather forecast.

Globo News, Brazil's first and most-watched 24-hour news channel, has relaunched today, with a new logo, new set, new graphics, new slogan, among many other new things:

2009 bulletin, called back then "Em Cima da Hora" ("At the last minute", "At the top of the hour"):

2010 bulletin, the first with the name "Jornal Globo News" ("The news from Globo News"), preceded by several promos:

also, as a bonus, an evolution of the channel's sets in its 14-year history and a preview of the new set, as part of a special on the channel's relaunch:

The background of the set shown at 0:47 bears a certain resemblance to the BBC's old sets.

New! Hoje!...

...from RTP. (and not Rede Globo's Jornal Hoje)

It replaced Jornal 2 on RTP2. Here's the clip from its last broadcast: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z94YHrabaDQ

And the trailer for Hoje: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4wdgG9p4IE

EDIT: Just found that some portion of Hoje's intro looks similar to ABC News 24's idents. (60sec, 90sec)

I have posted this a while ago on my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xpEb6c02A8
Does anybody know where to get these old CNBC themes? Are they production music or were they produced specifically for them?

I have collected plenty of old CNN themes from production libraries, but I have trouble finding the ones used by CNBC. So if there´s anyone who knows something, let me know.
