Another one from Singapore, this one's from Channel 8, MediaCorp TV's Mandarin Channel.
The nightly newscast aptly called News Tonight is broadcast at 10pm nightly.
The newscast uses the same studio as that of Channel 5 (the english channel)
The newscast has been using the same music, albeit with different titles or studios since 2007.
December 2014:
August 2013: "News Tonight"
May 2007: "The 10 O'clock News"
Channel 8's morning newscast, played out at 9am every weekday. Since late 2014, the channel decided to reduce it's breakfast news programme from 3 hours (from 7:30am to 9am - live telecast and 9am to 10:30am -repeat) to 30mins.
2013: Good Morning Singapore
Watch out for the rather awkward walk on by the 2 news anchors in the above video.

Of course CNN Domestic as pretty much abandoned CNN Center for the most part. HLN has squatted (and destroyed) in the expansive Studio7 that was designed for CNN. So now with the old HLN studio only being used for WorldSport and slightly revamped, could we see CNNi take it over and move in completely. Its a much bigger and expansive set then then current hole they have used for a number of years. Unfortunately the old HLN set is not located next door to the newsroom as the current set. Here a pic with the HLN branding scrubbed (top pic) Pre CNNI branding (red CNN box). Not sure why they didnt update those ugly duratrans with something cleaner. And cover the light wood with their signature silver as you can see on that monitor stand in the 2nd pic. That would have easily updated the set.
with CNNi Branding.

It seems like the entire right side of the set has been dismantled and taken down.

This was the original version of the set which was centered around the column and pods surrounding it.

'Of course'?
Why where have they gone
All weekday studio programming for CNN Domestic is out of the cramped CNN Communications center in Time Warner Centre NYC. Thought that was common knowledge? If not...we all learn something new everyday.

I really liked this set and format, which were both very innovative. Two main presenters at the big desk, with separate presenters for things like sport and showbiz at the smaller desks around the central column - plus a 'just in' presenter to update on breaking news at, if I remember correctly, a big screen.
Here's the press release from 2001 that announced the relaunch:

Sadly the format got tweaked into oblivion over the years, so we ended up with just the main presenters in a rather empty studio. I didn't realise how many elements of that set were retained in the most recent blue version, though.

I really like that theme music. Aspirational with a serious tone. Not the typical beeps and boops - heart monitor beeping tunes you hear now. Quite nice. Sorta reminds me of the old '03 CBC The National theme. Serious soaring aspirational with a modern thumping beat. Not cold beeps and boops.
