FINLAND -- TV channel Nelonen have started incorporating tape-delayed domestic ITV News bulletins into their weekday schedules. ITV Morning News is shown after the regular children's block at somewhat 09:30 am local time, Lunchtime News is on at the end of the daytime block and NAT at the end of the broadcast day. Starting from 3rd of December, Finnish DTT viewers are able to see English-language television news (other than the state broadcaster Yle's daily 5 minute bulletin) for the first time in five years, when state-owned news channel Yle 24 ceased to exist.
The launch of ITV News on Nelonen will occur simultaneously with the launch of a brand new newscast in co-operation with the leading newspapers (HS, IS), of which I've talked about earlier in this thread. In addition, Nelonen announced that they will simulcast ITV's coverage of America Decides 2012 live on their other DTT channel, Jim, tomorrow night.

IMO this is really great, I've been kinda missing my English news here in Finland.
