I dug through the Internet Archives and put together this montage of the final edition of CBS' The Early Show from Saturday, January 7, 2012. Two days later, CBS News debuted the all-new CBS This Morning from the new Studio 57 at the CBS Broadcast Center.

For the entirety of the Early Show's run, it came from a leased streetside studio several blocks away on Fifth Avenue.* The lease on that studio expired on January 1, so this final edition came from the CBS Evening News studio. Pretty rare and interesting to see a morning show come from it! The weekday edition came from on the road covering presidential primaries that week.



*Side note: the building was then owned by none other than Donald Trump, so for the first year or two of the Early Show, the top of the hour voiceover introduced the show as coming "live from Trump Plaza." How times have changed!

Sanlih E-Television in Taiwan has lanuched SET iNews. The channel was lanuched yesterday at 6pm local time replacing SET Finance. The lanuch starts at 4:00 mark.
