Couple of new GMTV trails running, one for the Newshour and another for the whole of GMTV.
One's got the tag "All for you"...

Both are very stylised with lots of behind the scenes stuff.

Seems be an attempt to promote their news coverage and try and win back some trust.

Two thoughts -
- Why is the Newshour not an hour of news? Why do fluffy items from GMTV Today feature in this hour
- Why do they use the boxed GMTV logo on the trails, and not the logo from the idents?

But BBC1 needs to do something with their mornings to make them accessible to people who have no interest in buying houses! The one gem they had - City Hospital - has been axed.

The problem with City Hospital was that it was losing BBC One daytime audience hand over fist wasn't it? Might have been a good programme, but people were no longer watching it.

The programme was certainly past its best.

What did the graphics look like, and any change to the music?

I saw the studio before darting through the door, but the News Hour seemed the same graphics as usual, as for the studio though, are there 8 trees this years, they do look lovely however.

The music for the ad breaks is the Christmas version of the old GMTV ident that they use every year. I didn't see what they used at the top of the programme

The top of the newshour is just the main ident but GMTV today have a strange ish kind of ident with the GMTV today ident on a weird bluey backdrop but with the christmas music. Also notices that they have brought back texting and picture messaging! Do you think they'll have a rebrand in January - it would coincide with them being 15 years old?

I believe GMTV Scotland and GMTV Grampian yesterday replaced STV's "Scotland Today" and "North Today" in GMTV local news bulletins ... have any Scots seen it yet?

Is Emma Louise Johnson still working for GMTV?

Last I heard she'd got married.

Haven't seen her on screen since!

I caught them this morning. It's a very strange scenario how they're using the normal music but then lead into the Christmas end music.

Though the bauballs do look very nice, and rather real, it's a shame that they couldn't bring back the old titles with the cirvles becoming the bauballs and lead in from there, even if they used the 1998 Christmas music over that.

I really like the changes made to the studio, it looks very cosy. I think thats one thing with this current set, it looks too minimilistic, if you remember back to the launch of that set, there wasn't any flowers or tables, just the desk and the sofa, and of course that background, which I quite liked!
