There was a vt clock on air for 2'30" instead of a break during CITV earlier (in Wales).

It also appeared in the Anglia region taking out the entire break.

Yes I noticed that the colour stripes and a whine was broadcast just after 8am this morning.

Also, maybe connected, but the IACGMOOH ident at 17:00 didn't contain any voiceover.

I recorded it clean but it's a bit pointless as anyone can put the music back over it anyway!

PS Nice new idents!

Was anyone watching gmtv in the Wales area?
at around 8:07am when ITV WALES NEWS was supposed to do their bulletin, instead a testcard appeared with a hell of a high pitch beep. It displayed HTV PLC on the top of the testcard. Shortly after that we went to a gmtv caption which played a loop of the gmtv 1993 theme tune.
So we didn't get the bulletin in the end we went straight back to gmtv today at around 8:10.

The GMTV caption is always played during the local news opts as a fallback should a region's news broadcast fail, as it did here. We occasionally get a few seconds of it in the Tyne Tees area if Leeds are slow to opt-in with the local news. It's not uncommon to rejoin GMTV a few seconds late either, but usually all we miss is part of the GMTV ident.

I remember quite a while ago here in Leeds we got the GMTV logo with the extended 1993 theme tune and we didn't opt at all!

Wales often seem to get it between the news and the weather for 1 or 2 seconds. When you say TT are slow to opt out, that's done by London now isn't it?

I remember something like that when Granada was supposed to take over with the news and we were atuck with the GMTV caption and the old 1993 music.

It's happened here on Westcountry not very long ago. They were obviously still having technical problems at the time of the next opt because we ended up with the HTV/ITV West bulletin (which I believe is the default for Westcountry as we've ended up with their 6pm bulletin before too) Confused
