This might be my last post here, depending on when Asa switches off the lights

I have to agree with a post above that the closure and then transition to a replacement forum couldn't have been better handled. With both enough time to get our heads around it here, and enough time to set up a new forum.

Thanks to Asa for creating and maintaining the forum over the last 20 years and also the great idea to leave the forum as an archive that can still be referred to, looking back at how all those breaking news moments kicked off in real time.

Can't believe its been 20 years. Here's to the next 20 years, although that is quite a scary thought.

The last 3 posts are assuming all the forum is tuned in 24/7 to the news channel. I can assure you they aren't and no more than a couple will be, so you could elaborate on what actually happened.
