Today is another big day for Israeli television: after the shutdown of the IBA and the launch of KAN and KAN 11, the commercial channels are also going through changes:
The Second Channel was split into Keshet 12 and Reshet 13 (Keshet and Reshet were both the concessionaires of the Second Channel) and Channel 10 moved to channel 14 and changed its name to "Eser" ("עשר", the word "Ten" in Hebrew), with a slogan that translates to "Ten is 14". All three channels also went HD with the move.

To coincide with this occasion, The News Company (a Keshet-Reshet joint venture which produced the Second Channel's newscasts and will continue to produce the bulletins simulcast on Kesher 12 and Reshet 13) and Eser decided to relaunch their newscasts.

Here are previews of the new sets:

I don't know if this has posted before, but this is a compilation of Fakty TVN openers from 1997:

I had watched some TVN Poland related videos back when I was a teenager in 2010 (I pretty much care about TV presentation and not the programming) and still had some memories when I go through them again. Especially the mid to late 2000s openers which makes me excited. I feel like I'm getting interested in Polish TV again.

This report from TVN's own breakfast show is related to TVN Poland's 20th anniversary:

And these are about Fakty TVN (the latter I think is mostly bloopers):

By the way, if you like TVN's music from the late 1990s and early 2000s, here's the same theme -- as heard in Alaska:

Never know that. Also the theme's bed part reminds me of RTL Aktuell from mid-1990s and has the feel like Slovenia's 24 Ur.

Fakty TVN has the style of an American newscast. It is concentrated on the anchor where he decides on the news of the day, unlike Wiadomosci, based on what the Wikipedia article said.

Indeed! All three themes had the same composer. (Frank Gari, i.e. the Gari Media Group, now a part of Warner Chappell Production Music).

Starting this upcoming Veterans Day it appears Sinclair Owned stations will permanently add a waving flag to their chyrons per an email obtained by FTVLive.

WBFF their flagship station in Baltimore (where the HQ is located) started using the flag last week. I thought at the time it was for Veterans Day - kind of like how the UK presenters wear poppies.

Sinclair if you don’t know is a very large (150+ stations) and extremely conservative station group. They require their stations to play out must runs of extremely conservative editorials given by their executives.

Hong Kong's ATV Late News from 1986 and 1987. They use the Channel 2 New York news theme before switching to the new theme which lasted until ATV closed in 2016:

Those are fantastic clips, but since I'm typing this from Chicago, I have to point out that the CBS local news theme was used by WBBM in Chicago several years before it was adopted by WCBS in New York. In fact, its distinctive musical signature is based on a song titled I Love Chicago, Chicago My Home!
