International News Presentation: Past and Present

As expected, the main evening news -- Danes -- on Slovenia's Planet TV relaunched last night with a new look and a new format:

Well, Grand Soir 3 on France 3 uses a similar format, but the execution is a lot more elegant:

France really is a different world when it comes to TV grammar isn't it...

Oh, well, that's France, period.

It's great visiting a country that's so different to the UK, yet so close and easy to get to (and back from )

This distinctively French look can also be seen in France's overseas territories -- such as French Guyana in South America:

Result! PIX have brought back one of the greatest news themes ever! Pity not for the abomination that is Pix News at Ten nowadays, but you can't have it all.

Although saying that, they seem to use the same 'tune' for promos too:
