Today is the long awaited first transmission of BBC domestic news from New Broadcasting House. This thread will open shortly before 1pm for discussion of the new studio and presentation at which point the existing News Channel Presentation and Network Presentation threads will be closed.

And for the first time in a while, it’ll be a real-time topic (except for Neon, that’s progress for you) so posts will appear automatically as they’re posted.

A new era for BBC News awaits.

So here we go then, a new era and a new thread.

It was quite ironic that a lot of us (including me) were thinking that no reference to the move was going to be made on the air regarding the move.

How wrong we all were!

Hmm Hacked Off have a press conference due to start 'shortly'. This could be interesting if things overrun!

Interesting to note that the Electrcore Mix might be used for promos post the move to NBH...

End of an era... Still I think we'll be pleased with what we get.

Just this thread, part of the live updates feature. Not for neon though.

Everyone got their PVR's and whatnot all ready to capture the launch?

Sky have the 1, 6 and 10 with an HD flag on BBC One HD, so we're definitely seeing it in HD. No HD tag on overnights.
