Helen Frospero on sofa between 6-7 with Cordelia Kretzschmar reading news, also Lorraine started at 8.30 today

I just caught the start of 'GMTV with Lorraine' today and twice she was caught on camera speaking to someone off screen - either she wasn't ready and cued late or she wasn't told about the early start. - got no clips -

Anyone cap the TOTH @ Six? Helen was on the sofa with John, only caught the end, and want to see how they worked as a pair.

I'm guessing Helen will become the new Penny when she leaves- permanent newsreader and sofa presenting when neither Emma or Kate are available. Still, I'd prefer it if Helen was permanently on the sofa with Emma in newsreader position.

there was an article earlier, (if I remember correctly) saying that priya will read the news all the time (6-9) and Helen will just be on the sofa. got no idea when priya will return though.

That's a really good idea! Helen and Andrew would be a great pairing!

With the new format coming, I can't see the need to have a separate news reader, especially if a more newsier approach is taken!

Helen was great this morning on GMTV.....I forsee her moving to the sofa permanently and hope they axe Kate and obviously Helen would cost a lot less than Kate.

I hope we also get a bigger studio, possibly having different presentation areas: e.g. - anchors desk, sofa area, interview area, performance area and kitchen or morning review table.

Just because they have rejigged the programme running order, it doesn't mean they are getting rid of local news. They have the same amount of bulletins just rescheduled.

To me in fact, it's better at 7:35 because if people want local travel etc for work then this is a good time as generally by 8:10 most people would have already left home for work. Also by watching this morning it appears to be more serious upto 8 and then the softer items, I.e Talking Telly after 8 which works much better.

I've never understood why breakfast telly does travel news really (unless a big incident) - I think that is one for local radio (rather than regional telly)

I agree. that sort of studio set up screams GMTV and yet is different to what they do now. A bit like a mix of the Sunrise set and TVAM i think.

I loved this morning's TOTH! The coming up sequence with the boxes (toth coming up) was full of newsy content and Lorraine was good in her coming up box. Also this morning, the breaking news ticker was very well used! If anyone captured this morning's ToTH i would be grateful to see it again!!!

How long has GMTV been advertising on ITV2? Is it just since ITV bought full ownership or has it always?
