Today, Argentina's Telefe, recently purchased by Viacom from Telefónica (parent company of O2), is relaunching their news operation, which is moving from their longtime studios at Calle Carlos Calvo in Constitución, in Buenos Aires proper, to their newly-built studios in Martínez, just outside the capital.
Nearly all of their bulletins are changing names:
Baires Directo (their morning newscast) becomes Buen Telefe
Baires en 10 , a ten-minute weather and traffic bulletin which aired before Baires Directo , is scrapped and absorbed by Buen Telefe
Telefe Noticias 1ª Edición (their midday bulletin) becomes El Noticiero de la Gente
Diario de Medianoche (their late news) becomes Staff de Noticias
Their main 8pm newscast retains the name Telefe Noticias , but loses the nickname Noti.20 they had since earlier this year.
The end of the last-ever Baires Directo :
The end of the final edition of Telefe Noticias 1ª Edición :
How the last Telefe Noticias from Constitución ended:
And the end of the final Diario de Medianoche , Telefe's last-ever newscast from Carlos Calvo:
And a promo on the changes:

HA
I've yet to watch the videos, but this feels like New Zealand's TV3 changing their news to News Hub branding.
And Argentinians prefer to have the name "Noticias" after the station name (Telefe Noticias) rather than the proper "Noticias Telefe".
How long has Telefe been in Calle Carlos Calvo?

The launch of the new France 2 news set (located in the same room as the 2017 presidential and parliamentary election nights of France 2) is also the occasion to launch a slightly different version of the musical intro.
The melody will stay the same, but whereas it used to be made of completely synth instruments, starting from tonight it will be a version with real instruments: the strings were recorded in Rochefort with an orchestra from Bordeaux.
Very few changes are to be expected in the visual intro too (and this is what disappointed me, because we're still gonna be stuck with that ugly, uninspired "20 HEURES" logo that looks just as bad as a WordArt in MS Word).
However, VR could be used for the news titles, in a similar fashion to VRT's Het Journaal at 7 o'clock in 2013.
I really hope the new set will be used to the extent of its possibilities. I think it has so much potential! But we'll probably see in November, when the morning shows TéléMatin and C'est Au Programme are expected to move to this set too.

Thanks again Le Neko for your knowledge of French news presentation. It seems France 2 are finally getting round to the British way of utilising the same studio for different programmes. Will also be better having the news presenter doing the bulletins in the same studio for Télématin instead of how disconnected it feels currently using two studios.
Do we know if the existing studio set has been maintained as a back-up instead of the dreadful cupboard set straight out of an ITV regional continuity booth from 1988?
Incidentely Mme Lapix looks good in the Franceinfo studio. Would be great if she did some cover for them too.

They've been out of the main studio all summer, so I assume the old set is gone...
For most of the summer, until the last few days when they locked themselves in said broom cupboard, they broadcast from the studio used for the Telematin news bulletins – which is actually directly opposite the Telematin set. It's cosy, but far better than the cupboard. I would be surprised if they move the morning bulletins to the big studio, simply because that's a lot of additional staffing and electricity for relatively short and simple bulletins.
In general I think they only resort to the cupboard on weekend mornings, for breaking news situations, and when there is industrial action (I assume because it's easier to run).

First things first, they kept the Paris backdrop, there's a slight change to the end of the orchestral theme and Mme Lapix actually has to get up to talk to correspondents, so isn't stuck to the desk for the whole bulletin.
Otherwise it's business as usual for France 2's flagship bulletin with the same graphics as in use as last year.
Unless one of the French pres enthusiasts posts a video, I'll post a video later tonight of the opening and close.

(top two videos for the moment). I can't really understand the desk, with an outer ring that separates and moves outward. The desk is too big with those parts, and they look a little untidy when they're at the sides.

Possibly VR robotic desks?
So the BBC has robotic cameras, and France 2 has robotic desks.

The sides look like they can do two ways instead of using the other tables to the side of the main desk.
I really hope the studio is lit differently for the 13h bulletin as it's a tad dark for a lunchtime bulletin with the dark blue.
