Also glad to see a new thread. The old one was too big and I found the descriptions annoying.

The used that logo on the old website too. Didn't realise it was the Sky font though Very Happy

Unfortunately we are unable to air episodes 1 and 6 from series 1 of Pointless.

I wonder why.

Did a contestant(s) on the first and the sixth episode turn out to be a swine(s)?
Has time rendered the first and the sixth episode so erroneous that they are now offensive in some way?
Did someone get their bum out in both episodes?

Think these are the people behind the new website.

This suggests it has been siting around since June or maybe even February.

I notice there's a fairly comprehensive Shows section, making good use of information and descriptions nabbed from Wikipedia.

Liked this on the Shooting Stars page:

Sometimes the number of questions asked to each team is different, or certain contestants are never asked a question at all. Props also occasionally appear on contestant's podiums for no reason, including an M-Audio Keyboard which appears regularly in front of Bob but which he never plays

That's true but Challenge's chop-happy editing policy should take some credit too. Wink

The date is in big endian format, so it would be June.

So, something happened on Challenge TV last night. A break down by the sounds of it. One of the wrestling programmes was replaced by Gladiators and the wrestling fans went absolutely ape sh!t on Facebook.

I don't suppose anyone here recorded it or knows what happened. I've not seen a breakdown on Challenge since part two of Family Fortunes failed to play and Andy Crane had to fill while they were fixing the problem.

Apologies to all TNA fans for the issue with No Surrender last night. There was a massive technical issue which we are still getting to the bottom of this morning which caused the show to fall off air. We completely understand the frustration felt by fans and will be getting a full repeat of this show into the schedule as soon as possible. We will advise you when this has been confirmed.

Challenge TV posted:
As promised here is an update for TNA fans in regard to the No Surrender event last night. We will be showing the event in its entirety from tonight at 1am and then again on Saturday at 9pm. We appreciate that tonight is very late but was the earliest available slot we could get it out again, so also wanted to make sure we had a more accessible slot pre-Impact on Sunday night. We hope it goes some way in making up for the problem last night.

No surprises there... some of the comments really are pathetic.

I do know that there was a question asked in the first series about famous people who wore Alexander McQueen dresses, that after he was found dead, was then edited out of the repeat when BBC Two broadcast selected episodes before the start of series 2 or 3 (can't remember).

I wonder if one of the missing Challenge episodes is related to that.

I'm in the audience for show 12 of this series, by the way...

Dear ITB Member,

We're writing to let you know the Sky Challenge panel will shortly be drawing to a close due to low research volumes.

What a waste of time that was. Might've responded if they asked me anything to do with the subject matter I signed up for!!

I always responded. The first question was always 'Did you watch { some crap } on Sky One?' I get the impression this was a Virgin Media idea that Sky didn't really care about when they inherited it.

Another reason why I detest automatic playout. I recall various times I've gone to watch a show, only for something completely different to play instead, and no sign of anything being fixed or switched. I do remember a showing of Big Break where the picture was starting to flicker and pixelate, and the audio was starting to sound fuzzy. They did fade to the Challenge logo, however, with "Technical Fault" written at the bottom. I think that's one of the last times I can imagine somebody controlling the playout on that channel.

Without automatic playout I doubt there'd be much programming on air after about 2am.
