You have to be joking. This new look is MUCH better.

The old website looks much better, I don't like the use of the arial rounded font and the colors in the idents and stings clash. I would prefare something like Invent Meridian's mock to be honest. I didn't hate the old idents to be honest. I would only have like to see a new look if it became Sky Challenge.

That's the whole point. The whole channel is now quirky and has a new lease of life in my personal opinion.

I'm not sure why they are promoting Pointless as if it is a new programme that no one has ever heard of before. You can "find out what it is all about" on their website, it is introduced as a "gameshow with a twist, where the aim is to get the lowest score" which sounds like something the BBC CA might have said 3 years ago. Why don't they just promote it as "that gameshow from BBC Two/One"?

If they really believe no one has seen this before, why aren't they showing it from the start? The episode they are showing has returning contestants.

EDIT: And another thing, why is a BBC programme from 2009(?) being shown without subtitles?

EDIT2: It appears this is episode two according to digiguide

EDIT3: They have gone to adverts after 8 minutes, not even time for one round.

They also say on the trailer 'at 8pm only on Challenge'. Well yes it is only on Challenge at 8pm, still a bit misleading.

The new site seems to only work if you remember the www. Omitting it will send you to the old site.

I'm seeing "The Challenge website has now moved! Please come and visit our new site at www.challenge.co.uk" whether I include the www or not. So the site is down.

I can't understand why the final shape is a speech bubble?

The spacing on the website is weird, content isn't all that and I'm not sure the return of the "community" will serve anybody other than the idiots who plagued the previous board.

Glad to see the back of IPPs, but odd that there seems to be no menu even though there is still CAs which would suit a menu. Perhaps these CAs will be dropped next time they're recorded. Thinking about it, the last couple of times I saw the "menu" of the previous look there wasn't actually any text. Wonder if this has something to do with it.

Apart from the above, the look is pretty good and feels a lot more "to do" with the content unlike the previous look which had nothing to do with it and could have been slapped on any other random channel.

Can't understand why they'd start at episode 2 of Pointless? Was the first considered too slow (there were far too many references to the basic premise of the game in this edition for my liking!)? Was there a legal issue?

Interesting the new Challenge website removes all Sky logos from its homepage...
I'm surprised the new branding didn't incorporate the Sky name somewhere ("Sky Challenge").

As I understand it the idea is for their channels on Freeview not to have Sky branding - hence Pick TV and Challenge (Sky News being the exception for obvious reasons)

...the Carlton-style L?

Although of course Carlton's 'L' was perfectly normal Wink
