Ireland’s entry was revealed on RTÉ 2FM Breakfast with Doireann and Eoghan this morning.
The track is called “Story of my Life” and is sang by Dubliner Lesley Roy.
I quite like it, it has a really nice nostalgic feel to it!

Representatives of the EBU, which organises the Eurovision Song Contest, have said they will be unable to attend a meeting of the 41 participating countries next week after a staff member tested positive for the virus.

While the contest itself is not currently in jeopardy, the EBU says it will "monitor the situation and assess the potential of the impact of coronavirus on its events".

In other Corona news: Denmark's "Melodi Grand Prix", where the Danish Eurovision entry is chosen, will proceed tonight without any audience. In an effort to restrict the spread of Coronavirus, the Danish government yesterday requested that large events (that is, where more than 1000 people are due to attend) be postponed/cancelled.

MGP really looks odd, full production going on in a virtually empty arena. A few DR people are trying to stirr up some atmosphere, but.

Honestly Dotter would have won Eurovision, it's a weak year and she would have stormed it. She lost to The Mamas by a single point.

Sweden seems to have a soft spot for this kind of music. Personally I didn't think it would qualify from the semi final.

By the way I highly recommend anyone who can watches next year's Melfest final from London's Swedish church. Really good fun, there must have been about 150 people there tonight, and a very cheap bar!

The Melfest result was a strange one. Even Robin Bengtsson didn't do that well tonight.

I was actually hoping that Anna Bergendahl would have won tonight.
