Excellent choice.

Probably the highest profile Saturday bulletin of the year airing immediately after the Champions League final rather than at something to midnight. For once the bulletins are at sensible times tomorrow - 5.45pm and 10.15pm.

I imagine Ranvir will just be added to the numerous people on the rota for Saturdays rather than take over the role, but she is the most obvious choice at the moment if they selected someone permanently. Wouldn't be surprised if she turned up as cover on London Tonight too.

Considering Matt Barbet used to cover Saturday evenings + London when on Daybreak, Ranvir presenting is no surprise.

Very poor continuity there between the pre-recorded opening sequence and the opening link to camera.

Alistair Stewart presented todays evening news - is it usual for someone so senior to present on a Bank Holiday? He also presented the London bulletin just before. Perhaps thats why they need 5 mins of trailers between the regional and national news so he could move studios!
