A closer look at his Twitter reveals that he is in Basra filming an ITV documentary rather than a special report or getting ready to present. Would be somewhat odd, given that there's currently no major news story breaking from there. Presumably the documentary will be commemorating ten years since the start of the 2003 Iraq War.
Mark Austin is in Basra. So one wonders if he will be presenting from their for the relaunch.

All these new signings are likely to strengthen the new international news base that compensated for the loss of the morning news.
just read (via Twitter of course) that ITV have appointed Nick Ravenscroft from the Beeb as Brazil correspondent.

No surprise considering the upcoming World Cup and Olympics. I suspect too should anything happen with the Falklands his portfolio might extend to Argentina too.

I wonder if Nina is now sole presenter of the lunchtime news rather than sharing the role with Alastair?

Because ITV News don't actually have a policy on such things and the presenters are allowed to make up their own minds about such trivial things?
Normally the male presenters sit on the left of the screen and the female presenter on the right, all that is except for Alastair Stewart, who always sits on the right. Does anyone know why this is?

I'd be surprised if it's the presenters own choice. It's probably down to either the hierarchy, or simply what looks right. Just a guess.
