Incidentally, the 80s Rubik's Cube also being used by network to introduce 'Allo! 'Allo! A rare occasion when both have played out the same symbol since Afternoon Classics resumed this year...

BBC2 Wales also showed it. I wasn't able to check this at the time, but, assuming BBC2 Scotland took the network feed, this would mean ALL BBC2 Nations plus network showed Rubik's Cube.

From next Tuesday, A double bill of Allo, allo will take place. I was so hoping for Hi de hi to start or you rang m'lord.

I don't think You Rang M'lord has been shown by the BBC since it's original transmission. It did get aired a few times on UK Drama, but that was now over 10 years ago. Would be nice to see it dusted off again, the comedy-drama element and higher production values arguably made it one of the strongest David Croft productions ever made, it's a real shame it never gets shown any more whilst Dad's Army and 'Allo 'Allo get repeated to oblivion.

Only possible issue might be that it's 50 minutes long, unlike the 30 minutes of all the other sitcoms they've put in the slot. If they are sticking with the idea of classic sitcom + classic drama it might not fit within the time constraints.

BBC2 NI just showed the 40th anniversary ident again, before British Isles A Natural History (not part of Afternoon Classics). I don't really keep an eye on idents used before the start of AC. Does anybody know if BBC2 NI have shown a retro ident with any earlier episodes of this series (or with any past programmes shown in this slot) ?

Might be worth tuning in this afternoon, for another classic from the old ident cupboard Wink

Great to see Silk. One of my favourites. That soundtrack is mesmerising!
