New BBC Two ident

DID anyone see that NEW ident?

Is that going back to the window on the world theme?

No, its clearly the same concept as the 97 idents. Ie a playfall 2. Where is the window view ?

It does seem like it's part of the 2 as a window theme to me.

Managed to catch this on Network... As broadcast in HD:

90s style aesthetics would have had the steam made up of lots of 2s, 2-shaped utensils dotted about, the clockface set to 2 o'clock, the celebrity chefs jettisoned, some kind of lovely moody ambient soundtrack...

...the quirky "oh-la-la" is an inspired touch though. And the box isn't horrible.

Hmm, the 2 seems a bit shoe-horned in there.

It's a bit dodgy to say the least.

Surely the steam gently creating a '2' in the air would have looked better.

Leaning more to the Windows then the 90s but then again the restaurant ident was part of the Windows package too.

I think I first saw the white BBC Two box logo when BBC2 aired a special ident for White Season in 2008.
