Looks good.
Video of the 9am TOTH:
Apologies for the slightly ropey quality, testing new software out.

Bit like the BBC News channel's return to stood up presentation, it looks much better than being stuffed behind a desk 24-7. A bit of variation never hurt. Seeing Lorna Dunkerly at the wall reminded me a bit of the 2005 relaunch with Sunrise.

As ever with Sky News there remains the possibility that come next month, or next week, they will just stop bothering to use the screen.
But, it's pretty clear from watching bits and pieces of the coverage today that the new screen is far more practical and easier to use than the previous wall. It works particularly well when the presenter sits at the desk and they display graphics and do live links on the screen.
The aren't just using it for the sake of it either - sparingly and effectively. Would like to see it used for some non-immigration coverage though!
I like the tweaked newsroom backdrop as well - the dark blue has more of a Sky News feel and fits in better with the overall look.

I think it looks a bit odd to be honest. Its proportions are visually uncomfortable, and the combination of swaying camera movements and out of practice presenters violently lurching around the podium make the standing presentation bits slightly dizzying. Hopefully they improve with practice, though I do like how they're using it for interviews and the like.
Am I correctly recalling discussion of a new desk being in the pipeline? The current one doesn't work very well with the new angles they're taking.

Phil94 has been going on about it for over a year.

It looks too tall and too out of place. Plus, if you notice the afternoon TOTHs, when the desk is facing the newsroom, the anchors body covers up quite a large portion of the desk, which is why I think they should have guilty it slightly more to the right.
I also hope they don't just leave on the video of the iPhone, iPad and laptop for the TOTHs. I rather preferred seeing the image of the main story in the newswall as it wasn't repetitive. And I also think they should bring back the breaking news scrolling text from a couple of months ago (though still used on Bolton & Co.).
Personally, I think it just looks odd. The old video wall, even though perhaps not the clearest thing in the world, at least looked like part of the set. The new one just looks like an oversized plasma that's been dumped there.
