Noticed jittery graphics on the big screen late last night too. I assumed it was due to concurrent testing of other graphics/preparing for election night.

Do we actually know if Sky News is having an update?

Or are we just getting a little over excited?

I'm no Skygeek, but all signs are yes, we will have an 'update', of some sort anyway.

Sky News Design on Twitter have said that we'll see new things on Thursday and Friday (giving the impression that after election mode, we may see new standard graphics and maybe a new TOTH).

The glossy logo on the end of the Decision Time promo seems new and the election graphics all use the Sky font (even on the ticker) which is different to the current font used. So as I said, it seems there will be an update, we're just not sure how big of an update that will be!

So we can all get excited then?

The people who work at Sky, would not be allowed to comment. The fact they are saying we should keep an eye out - should give you some indication that something is coming...

Sky News is sure to be producing another memorable election programme - plenty of reason to get excited.

I liked the change they made to the logo last year, making it closer in line to the other Sky channels' branding. (at least in how the logo is used off air and in promos)

This new Glossy logo looks a lot more ugly, and the "News" text seems lower down than centred.

The Sky set outside The Houses of Parliament is going to be quite special and may just outdo the BBC bubble.

First glimpse of election studio live now on Sky News.
