I bet if they didn't have a baking tray there, they'd have enough room for a sofa like Southampton.

The red pillars, though necessary, of course, because they are not Barco screens, actually improve the design. Would be nice if N6 could have a small refresh to do that perhaps.

I mentioned a desire to see The Andrew Marr Show-style pillars in the corners of N6 prior to the current set launching. I'm guessing it's more to do with new studios in Broadcasting House not having them.

The Spotlight floor really does make the set look horrible.

The black floor on that new set looks nice and smooth, but how long will it stay like that?

One minor, tiny niggle is the fingerprints all round the desk brim. Other than that it's gorgeous!

Surely a sofa would have fitted in too? hmmm

I think they're going for the Micro N6 feel.

I'd be happy with N6 if it looked like that. Points West's studio looks far superior. Probably one of the best executions of that studio style.

Looks like its slightly smaller than the South Today set, but that might just be because they've got a double size desk.

Anyone know if there was any mention or a feature about the new set on the main edition? Chris mentioned it briefly at the end of the late bulletin.

I have to admit I don't like the new set... Points West has lost its sofa and its cosiness such a shame! Not nearly as bad as the ITV West set though.

I think it's quite refreshing to see a news studio with just a desk in it. The news isn't supposed to be cosy with sofas and cushions and wooly jumpers. So big well done Points West I say, A News studio that looks fit to give the news.
