To be fair old sets also often end up at BBC West too, just ask BBC Three's Liquid News!

I wonder what is going to be coming in the space. New coffee table desk has been introduced this evening.

The thing is, if it is a prelude to a new set, I've always felt that the an opportunity was missed with the BARCO-style regional news sets for an interim arrangement back in 2013. With a bit of paint, some vinyls and maybe some MDF, you could have given them a suitably NBH-style refresh, probably very cheaply.

It wasn't Liquid News's set - though even some at BBC West thought it was. It was actually the BBC Three News set used for The News Show / 7 O'Clock News and 60 Seconds.
It was the set in the lower end of the studio that they bought (as it took smaller, cheaper, plasmas, than the Liquid News set)
BBC West only bought the set - not the screens in the set - as they were re-used for the 30 minute 7 O'Clock News set - which had a wall of plasmas and a plasma coffee table.
