Does anyone know why the bbc world news logo is slightly less red then it should be, the bbc news logo is the correct red, and the trailers are the right red as well, the flipper has the right red as well on the bbc world news logo.

I only realized that when YouTube's algorithm recommended me this video, plus the weird countdown timing.

Got a question during simulcasts. Does the flipper match up precisely or does it still run out of sync - BBC News channel vs BBC World News - with each other? A bit like on 2013-2019 graphics set.

No it doesn’t, they still run out of sync. But they don’t both show the same headlines like it does in that video, even during simulcasts.

Thanks, just that I thought with the newer graphic style the system would've been made to be more in sync with each other.

The flippers are entirely separate. World’s is based on a feed of the top stories on the website with some filtering to get rid of articles with titles like “What time is Biden’s inauguration?” The news channel feed is curated manually by a journalist and updated as required.

Singapore also use a different system to W1, CasparCG as opposed to vizrt. That’s why there are some animation style differences.

For the longest time, even when ABR is still exclusive to BBC World Asia-Pacific feeds, I was really wondering why their presentation looks too different from other programs. I'm not sure if the market data showing on screen is updated in real-time.

Market data is usually presented on a 15 minute delay

If Outside Source is something they must show every night at 7pm regardless due to rights or whatever, how have they managed to get away with not using the brand this evening?

PBS is most likely running their own inauguration coverage so wouldn't have been running OS anyway.

I noticed BBC world news cut away from the fireworks show on inauguration night to hit the TOTH, would that have been because PBS takes the 3am GMT bulletin.

I love that studio. I emailed them as soon as it aired having figured it was a Clickspring design. (the desk wings and red chair gave it away) They were really stoked to receive feedback saying it was really quite rare that they do.

I think Clickspring are the absolute leaders in news presentation design and cannot wait until we finally get to see the Washington studio in full use.
