After tomorrow we may know which channels will air the semi's. England's half of the draw will only be ITV's pick if England make it otherwise Brazil/Belgium v France/Uruguay will be top pick.

Which means we won’t know tomorrow then
If England go out then we will know.

As great to watch as the shocks of the weekend were it does make the games less attractive (on paper) going forward. Brazil v Belgium the clear pick of the games so far. Columbia beating England would take that QF from 1st to 4th pick I'd imagine, other than the primetime factor.
Should be a very good night for ITV tonight - I'd imagine their highest rated football game in quite some time, possibly since 1998.

Should be a massive one tonight, but if we get through Saturday could be off the chart.
Out of interest, what were the figures like for the Rugby World Cup final in 2003, probably the only really comparable figure we have if the impossible happens?

I remember reading something like 15 million - which for Sunday morning were extremely good.
BBC press office posting that the BBC are showing both matches on Saturday seems to be being taken as confirmation that is what the BBC will do. Surely that's wrong as they will do Brazil v Belgium as second pick If England are through and first pick if they not (They haven't showed Brazil yet and wont get a semi featuring them if England go out). went out it be less shocking if the BBC went for both matches on Friday than both on Saturday.

It's not what they'll do - they haven't been confirmed yet. What the Press Office is doing is confirming the times of the coverage if they follow that schedule, and some people are taking it literally.

A lot of people are - leading to theories that is so the BBC could simulcast an England Semi Final - which they won't because come Euro 2020 they might end up with much reduced coverage. Plus they didn't do it for Wales Euro 2016 semi which would create nation bias.

The BBC press office schedule now says Confirmed for BBC One for the two Saturday matches.

And why would they do that ahead of knowing whether England qualified? The Saturday afternoon match would go from being the top pick to the worst pick?
