The presentation doesn’t usually take this long to kick off does it?

It has been mentioned by Gary Lineker multiple times that there's a significant delay.

I think it was possibly caused by getting the stuff on to the pitch. I didn't start raining heavily until started.

Good that ITV stayed on air until 7pm so they could wrap up the tournament.

With the presentation taking so long, the BBC rushes off air not very long afterwards.

The BBC credits went a bit fast, each page seemed to flash on for just one second.

Indeed, nice to see a lot of non BBC engineering and operational staff names mentioned in the credits, but too quick to take in !

They'd already aired the Love of Dogs episode that was scheduled for tonight yesterday (instead of Catchphrase) when they went of air 15 minutes later than advertised. Clearly they planned ahead.

ITV don't have highlights tonight but the BBC do.

The “curse of ITV” conveniently ignores the qualification campaign that got them in the tournament in the first place, none of which was on BBC1.

It’s all nonsense of course, it’s another stick to bash ITV with

Just want England to win the next tournament, if it means not watching it on ITV so be it.

The very idea that there is a curse is ridiculous. The idea that it’s actually on whether YOU watch it on ITV or not? That takes the biscuit.

Curse or no curse, everytime I watch on itv with England in tournaments they lose, I don’t want to jinx it for them next time so I’ll watch it elsewhere!

Sorry it sounds crazy but there you go, there has be one crazy minded tv forumer.

Take your pick. But be aware that Croatia vs England was shown by hundreds of other broadcasters, I understand England still lost on all of them.

Interesting the BBC have decided it is a suit and tie occasion. Looks so out of place nowadays in sports coverage.

The past few World Cup finals have been shirt and tie occasions on the BBC. FA Cup matches have been this season, too.

I don't believe a normal TV forumer has ever existed...

It does look like the closing montage was a bit shorter than last time round, but I don’t think the screen time for the actual credits was much shorter.

A good effort linked to the host country this, but it was always going to be hard to beat the 2014 montage from Brazil:

Interesting that the limit (60,000) of UHD streams offered was only breached once for the Sweden match throughout the competition.
