I don't have 4K so I don't know the answer to this. Do ITV have a way to get 4K content to air? It would never happen but theoretically as both BBC Sport and ITV Sport jointly share the rights could ITV ask the BBC to put it to air via iPlayer streaming? In that instance I'm guessing they wouldn't run ads on the 4K stream.

Not unless they've been keeping it very quiet. No sign of any public tests from them and I've not seen any articles saying they have been doing tests. They may surprise us but I think its very unlikely.

That OB compound layout from Arena's tweet, might well indicate ITV are showing an interest in UHD/HDR, even if nothing is going to air Cool

A match truck, a pres truck AND a UHD truck for a minor friendly football match ?

Which one would be their UHD truck or is it just implied that one is based on the tweet.

ITV could in theory timelease or jointly broadcast on an existing UHD channel such as through Sky. They could simulcast the game in HD on ITV and offer it as an extra for Sky Viewers. They already have a relationship with Sky with ITV 3 and 4 HD right?

Could OB Z be used for another broadcaster?

Unless OBZ is there for the UHD world feed?

Trust me, it’s not Cool

Fair point!
So are they giving it an off air 'shakedown', whilst recording the game for the archive so as to 'futureproof' it?
(not that a pre-World Cup kickabout at Wembley is really worth dumping on the ITV Sport Archive hard drives)
