Out of curiosity why do the 6 & 10PM broadcasts come from the regular news channel studio?
Because Studio E is the flagship bulletin studio. It just also happens to be the normal home of the news channel. The news channels's access to the studio comes second to the needs of the national bulletins.
Also, Newsnight is always live. They also have various features (even bands perform) which require rehearsal and the entire studio space. While they have shared space temporarily with the national bulletins in the past, it's far from ideal.
Showing a recorded business news section on the news channel this hour, after the headlines, Jane said 'time for the Business with Caroline' and then the Business sting played and the bulletins from earlier seems to now be shown.
The News Channel appears to be making a lot of continuity errors when it comes to trailers. There have been a few now where I've seen the trailer is advertising a program that has just been on. I noticed this with Buisness Live a few weeks ago, they played the advert just after the program aired. I noticed tonight that they played the "Coming up" with World News Today and the following two programs and then Our World, tonight at 9:30 at 10:45… Noticed this has been getting more and more frequent in recent months and weeks…
A promo advertising Business Live as coming up next went out at about 2130 last night. The BBC World News 'This Week in History' filler went out during World News Today tonight on the BBC news channel. Not sure if that was intentional or not.
They seem to do that during the simulcast bulletins. I've seen them during the night too. What was weird was a Buisness Live for that day being broadcast just after the end of the program. That's very weird.
Why on earth at the start of each Business Live edition do the two presenters look at each other for a split second before saying 'welcome to Business Live'?

Yeah, the This Week in History fillers have been played out during the midnight edition of Newsday every time I've seen it since the simulcast started.
