Small design error on the titles. The daytime titles have a new logo reveal, whereas the late news titles do not have this effect. Something very picky mind you.

I assume the PAL footprint all over that is the way you're capturing the image, and not as broadcast !!?

Yes indeed, it's my ancient TV capturing tackle which is sadly too retro to adequately cope these days. Sad

The broadcast image on Spotlight is of much better quality: as others have said, I think it's now downscaled HD.

Will there be any improvement to the PQ from Jersey as it goes through Plymouth?

Looks good, although I'm not sure about that guest shot with the plasma full screen behind them.

It's possibly worked out better having a full refurb in situ rather than moving to new premises as was originally planned, the shoebox style studios of recently opened regional centres wouldn't accommodated that set - it probably wouldn't fit in Salford let alone Leeds.

The set looked great, just a couple of glitchy graphics. No horizontal lines that I could see, so that problem seems to have been solved.

Plymouth have, to my mind, generally implemented the various corporate looks nicely - but this has to be the best of the bunch. The set is beautifully executed, it screams BBC News but the Plymouth backdrop roots it so firmly in the region. The titles are lovely too, and I really like the mix of the music.

It must be said, Justin and Victoria make a cracking team too.

Extended titles for the main bulletin. Hint of BBC Wales Today theme at the start of the titles.
