BBC London are on their second BH studio, though they have retained the same gallery location for both.

Am I getting confused? I thought originally BBC London gallery was just outside some radio studios.

Yes - but those 'some radio studios' included those used by BBC London and were in or close to the BBC London newsroom... In news it makes more sense to have your gallery near your newsroom than your studio.

Has it remained there? I'd presumed they'd have found a more conventional home - especially as it was used by news channel and network bulletins the other weekend.

Yes - because it makes a lot of sense having your gallery close to your production office or newsroom.

There are also major benefits to having a studio and gallery in a different part of the building (technically both of them are in a different building to the other non-World Service TV studios)

Different titles at the start of this evening's bulletin. Still some horizontal lines on the reports. Interestingly there were no lines on the cricket highlights and on the footage from Tunisia, so may be a problem with ingest from their cameras?

I'd be surprised if a fault like that were introduced in the file domain (which I'd expect camera ingest to be). Could be that some reports were played from an edit suite rather than a server?

Nice alternatively lit background for late evening bulletins (or for in winter) . . .

It sure does. It'll be great to see a full 1830 edition of the programme tonight.

I would disagree and suggest that they did use the new sofa set for Breakfast this morning. There's a metal railing running behind the sofa in the video above that didn't appear in the temporary set, and unless it was something they only did at breakfast they didn't make use of two plasmas either in the temporary set.

I assume the PAL footprint all over that is the way you're capturing the image, and not as broadcast !!?

Yes - there is no PAL footprint on their studio output, though I think at least one or two of the images in their new titles have a bit of one possibly...
