I don't understand why they've used the old music for the Piers Morgan promo online and yet on TV they use a piece of pop music

The online promo is exactly the same one that i saw on TV. All ITV shows place the logo and theme tune infront of any video they post. They have always used the "old music"' infront of videos on the website, not difficult to understand...

ITV Daytime performance is great

I'm not too sure that a daytime lineup including Jeremy Kyle and Judge Rinder counts as "great"!

True.

But This Morning and Loose Women do well, and much better than the BBC does.

Looking through the BBC One and Two schedules and they are terrible.

Eh? That's not the case usually. This Morning and Loose Women are usually out-rated by the shows on BBC One. Loose Women doesn't usually rate that well at all. Or didn't last time I checked. It's in GMB territory... (Often relaunched but not massively improved ratings each time...)

Jeremy Kyle sometimes (but not always) beats the BBC shows scheduled against it, and on some occasions one or two 15 minute sections of This Morning might beat a relatively weak BBC show.

However it is not at all unheard of for BBC One to out-rate ITV from 0600-1900, though ITV sometimes beat the BBC in the teatime quiz area, and for the odd 15 minute lump.

It is surprising Loose Women is still around - it's been under the axe for many years now. Jeremy Kyle has always performed well - if it wasn't they wouldn't be airing triple or quadruple bills at the weekend. Jeremy Kyle currently makes up 12 and a half hours of the ITV schedule (19 hours including overnight repeats). 12 and a half hours is equivalent to the weeks output from ITV News, including the regional news - but excluding GMB.

I wonder if it's because they don't think it's crap...

Crap?! Homes under the Hammer, Bargain Hunt, The Sheriffs are Coming - ITV would never have commissioned Judge Rinder if they hadn't seen how BBC daytime audiences love gavels and anything to do with courts.

I suppose it's the best that they can offer the targeted audience with a relatively small budget (thanks to DQF).

They just had the recording of Gabby doing the 'coming up' played before Ranvir and Ben had finished, they were talking about Piers before getting cut off.

Probably because the audience at that time of day don't think it's crap, or think it's less crap than what ITV are showing at the same time?

Even with DQF beginning to bite quite hard, the BBC seem to be able to commission and produce (in some cases) content that the audience finds more watchable than the stuff ITV delivers.

The BBC also offers quite a lot more variety. ITV have had the same daytime schedule - which seldom changes - for years. Lorraine, Jeremy Kyle (or Trisha before him), This Morning, News, Loose Women.

Far less variety than BBC One - and actually quite a lot less factual content. (The BBC delivers shows like Helicopter Heroes, Rip Off Britain, Crimewatch Roadshow, Heir Hunters, Homes Under The Hammer etc.)
Stedixon and Steve Williams gave kudos

Why do people watch the crap that is on BBC One?

Mainly due to the BBC offering an alternative to ITV Daytime's tabloid skewed output.

Why do you make up audience figures in your head rather than finding out the facts?
