ITV Daytime performance is great and attracts of millions each day although Good Morning Britain is slowing the ship down slightly.

I think GMB is getting slightly better, but does anyone else find it annoying how they are always sat on the sofa and not at the desk?

I'm not too sure that a daytime lineup including Jeremy Kyle and Judge Rinder counts as "great"!

Interesting that they are using the old music in this video, not sure if its a sign of something to come or not. I very much doubt they would revert back to the original music, however you never know with ITV!

Speaking of old music, I've found this video on YouTube of the first twenty minutes from the second edition.

I still believe that they had it right from day one. The music was brilliant, the programme wasn't too heavy, a lot of news was covered, the mix of the 4 presenters reading the different stories worked very well IMO, they had moments of team banter and the mix of stories informed the viewers with the first twenty minutes which were nicely recapped in a more detailed way than currently.

My only issue with that twenty minutes is the fact that Doctor Hilary had to stand so weirdly at the side of the desk when they could have used Ben standing with him at one of the screens for that little bit.

Could not agree more with all of that. I wish they could go back to how it was. Team of four with (pretty much) equal roles, 16:9 graphics, good use of the different areas, weather graphic, ticker on screen throughout... I am a bit disappointed with how it's changed... even the new table - I think the old one was much more modern-looking and better suited to the set.

True.

But This Morning and Loose Women do well, and much better than the BBC does.

Looking through the BBC One and Two schedules and they are terrible.

Loose Women absolutely doesn't, it gets under a million most days and is thrashed by Bargain Hunt and the BBC News.

Bargain Hunt wouldn't be sacrosanct in that slot otherwise.

I don't understand why they've used the old music for the Piers Morgan promo online and yet on TV they use a piece of pop music

I think because of copyright reasons.
