Did the BBC keep their Commonwealth Games shed for the coverage - sure that was mentioned here a while back.
Good question. Hard to know how the coverage will work. The BBC Scotland HQ and studios are obviously in Glasgow as are the campaign HQs for the Yes and No campaigns.
That said, significant focus is likely to be at the Scottish Parliament and perhaps even Scottish Govt HQ 'St Andrew's House' all in Edinburgh. The final declaration will come from the count at the Royal Highland Centre near Edinburgh (about 20 mins drive from city centre) so plenty of positions will be needed, and the politicians will be all over the place.
Also, BBC doesn't have any significant permanent presence in Edinburgh (a small 'Millbank' sized studio and some radio facilities near Holyrood). That's why you've seen Huw Edwards and friends on the top of Calton Hill (!) overlooking the city centre, and Newsnight last night presented from the pavement outside a tourist attraction (Our Dynamic Earth) near the parliament building at Holyrood.
Sky News coverage excellent today. Kay Burley on the streets of Edinburgh. Niall Paterson with Alex Salmond in Edinburgh. Joey Jones in RUTHERGLEN with John Prescott and Ed Miliband, imminently. Some really good Vox pops going on. The whole thing has a bit of a jubilee feel to it. I'm sure it doesn't feel the same on the ground, but the news coverage is of that high standard and is quite captivating.
Kay Burley proving she's the Queen of the Vox. The reaction of some Princes Street pedestrians has been hilarious.
How's the BBC News domestic coverage today, anyone?

I've had to confirmed to me that ITV will in fact be taking STV's overnight coverage...
ITV's listings still have Alastair Stewart doing a programme on ITV. Are STV planning to hijack the network and do a pirate broadcast, or is ITV just slow at updating its schedule?

So what's actually happening? We've got members saying ITV will and won't be taking STV, a press release saying ITV will take STV's coverage and listings saying ITV won't be taking it.
That's the information that I was given and previous times when I've received information its been 100% correct, so I'm not doubting for a minute this information either...
