I'd bet ITV will do their own thing until around 2-3am then switch to STV. Or these people saying ITV will take "STV's coverage" could be getting their wires crossed and ITV will be doing their own studio show but taking STV feeds of the counts, which makes sense.

Lucy Hockings just bombed by an intruder during her LIVE on World News just now. It had to happen.......

Just to be absolutely clear, I've just had it reiterated to me that STV will be going across the Network from 22.40 until 06.00...

So is Alastair Stewart fronting the STV coverage?

The overnight programme will be presented by Bernard and Aasmah Mir...

You'd best tell ITV, because they seem to think Alastair's fronting the coverage.

I think the confusion about Alastair Stewart might be to do with News at Ten.

I understand ITN is producing separate bulletins on referendum night - one for STV, the other for the rest of the network. I'm assuming Alastair is presenting the Scottish version, as Mark and Julie are down to front the ITV version.

Don't quote me on that though ...

I think STV are opting out at 10pm doing having their own 'STV News at Ten' from Edinburgh presented by John MacKay with ITV News going out across the rest of the UK, then STV going out across the Network from 10.40 with Bernard and Aasmah...

It would certainly make more sense for STV to produce this themselves, and in Scotland.

Entirely possible I heard wrong ...

Could Alistair Stewart be involved in STV's coverage in some way, in the same way that people like James Mates and Julie Etchingham cropped up on GMTV after the 2010 Election, despite working for ITV?
