FIVE - a return to pre 2011 Channel 5

One thing I don't like about Channel 5's current presentation package... actually scratch that, I hate all of it, but one thing I'd love them to improve is the end boards of trailers. Why do they have to fill the screen with a big chunky font in all caps? It would be nice if they had a sensible font in place and an endboard that stayed on until the end, not dissolve into a Channel 5 logo. Part of that would be something like Declan has posted, but something with a bit more flair. Just ditch the caps C5 in any case, they look awful!

If so, I hate it too! My aim for this mock has been to ditch what Desmond did with the rebrand. Personally I think the logo prior to him was the best and did not need to be changed at the time it was. In that end board you can hardly even see the text because of the girls clothes and this happens a lot of the time!

Sorry ASO about the GS image it remains unchanged as I just edited it quickly to offer this after it was suggested I use gloriola.

Another way it could work is the following. I felt to explain would be too difficult and so just put together a clip, which if liked over other designs, could be the template. Forgive me if it isn't exceptional but rather just a simple put together to showcase another alternative design. It is similar to itv.

Where the neighbours image is it would be trailer footage that wouldn't necessarily last 3 seconds but rather the length of the clip before returning.

Obviously it would last much longer than that, but it was a good example. Well done.

I have taken the one from earlier and modified it. You'll notice the differences that include a trailer now as opposed to the photo. The trailer length would vary but this neighbours one isn't very long. I have also included a sort of sting at the end of the promo. Hope you like this:

Ok now I have a handful of break stings along with an ident. In the ident I use an old voiceover for neighbours to make it seem that coming up next is that show.

Thank you ASO. Hey, it took a while but eventually we're on the right track. I will continue to improve and make it the standard it needs to be. I think'll upload a montage of the things I'm keeping going forward however, I might accidentally put something in that isn't what people like so I ask that if I do someone points it out- this is just to give me a clear path.

Thanks everyone for your continued support, we are eventually going in the right direction and I do believe that when we're done Viacom will have redesigned the channel making mine irrelevant, I mean, it will be a lot better than the current "thing" we have now.
