FIVE - a return to pre 2011 Channel 5

Quite frankly I dont care whether you think its helpful or not... You dont get to decide what sort of feedback you get. If someone wants to tell you its terrible and not give a reason why, thats their prerogative.

Who is "everybody"? ...because i can only see about four different users giving positive opinions of it. 90percent of the posts in this thread are yours, and the rest of the posts may as well have not been written because you've just cast them aside.

The reason i didnt give you any feedback is because you have ignored all the feedback posted by other experienced mockers, and been quite rude to anyone who gives an opinion that doesnt match up with your own over-inflated opinion of your work.

The mocks are ALL poorly executed, badly thought out, and thrown-together in 5 minutes.

Give up.

Go away and spend a month or two on a new idea. Put that idea aside for a few weeks whilst you work on something else. If the first idea is still good when you come back to it post it then.

You have one more chance before i write you off entirely. Please do not post again before September.

The thing that I asked you to give clarification on has now been replaced i.e. the EPG from that post has now been ditched with other users such as Brekkie saying it's nice just not his style. The pages that followed your comment have received some really nice comments. Ones that I have been very happy with and it has motivated me.

I had saw you had posted and thought "I wonder if he is going to say that he sees an improvement". I have to be honest, I think if something like this needs to be said PM me. You aren't explaining why you don't like something which means I can't alter what you don't like. Definitely not in this version have I ignored people's comments and if you actually look at the pages you'll see how I have changed my design.

You underestimate highly the time and effort I put into this. I have to be honest and say that unless you have anything to say such as "I don't like the font, perhaps..." or "the colours don't match why not try this..." like other users, who have been a massive help and whom I actually apologize to as they have to read this, I'd prefer you didn't comment to tarnish everything I have done without giving any proper criticism that can be used to make something better.

The last part of your post is the first proper advice you have given. However, what I must say is that I do in fact evaluate my work and have scrapped a few things relating to this version of the mock prior to upload. Uploads here aren't as frequent as they used to be.

I do think you need to take these and develop them offline again Declan. A couple of positive comments were not free reign to begin posting seemingly everything again and to be honest your last couple of efforts aren't much better than your first. Only the controller of BBC2 would think those promos are acceptable!

I will work away as I have been doing since last upload but at least you and the other users who have commented positively are suggesting this in the way you have as opposed to "give up".

As for the promos which ones? Just a tad confused, even PM, someone think it was ASO said that I had finally got the right ones.

I have to agree, these aren't the best. Massive rethink is needed, the whole package looks awkward and logo doesn't flow.

Oh dear. This isn't good.

I genuinely thought we had it, it seemed this was on the up with the logo being liked and finally nailing some of those things that weren't being done before.

Right I guess that is that.

I just don't get why people had said they liked the uploads and looking over all 21 of the pages version 4 was the most liked.

ASO even said now move on to the sister channels because I had got the promo screens, fonts, etc for five sorted.

I thought they were getting a lot better actually. Perhaps it would be an idea if you find something else to work on.

The main problem with this is it was so similar to another mock on this forum.

Thank you for saying that ASO. I was worried that everyone had decided to take back their positive comments.

When I was away for a few weeks, along with going away/coming back to the five mock I began another. I wasn't going to submit it until this one was finished but will maybe let this one go into hiatus and reveal the other in a week or two? Also, it'll allow me to apply the things I have learned recently.

Oh yes that mock. However, this was completely coincidental!
