BBC TWO old programmes, old pres?

Was it like this on the last repeat (on BBC1 in 2001) at all? Because I see it uses the current BBC logo at the start of the title sequence so may have been edited back then.

It is really nice to see some of the idents in widescreen and hear them in stereo. This rather long playout of Paint for example:

I was very young when these idents were dropped and it makes me feel really happy to see them on television again.

Of course there far better than what we currently have in branding from BBC2.......

Yes, Paint was played out to a more extended length than they have done so far, before 'Allo! 'Allo!, on friday, and the announcement was more delayed this time as well (giving us the chance to hear more of the beginning of that great soundtrack).

Interestingly, they chose to play only the 1991-2001 idents on friday. Paint, Optics, Powder, then Paint again.

Are there going to be any further 1991-2001 idents, next week? I keep my fingers crossed. (Wouldn't it be great if last week's four were replaced with another four next week, and so on each week - one can dream )

BBC2 NI just showed Fluffy Dog, before 'Allo! 'Allo!. Correct BBC TWO blocks logo with this one!

Hopeful Swan will get this treatment!

BBC2 NI showed Water, before 'Allo! 'Allo!. Back to the slanted BBC logo again.

Somehow prefer it with the old slanted BBC logo.

The slanted logo could have correctly (save for Widescreen) been used:
