I think the "Money Centre" thing on 5 News Early was quite good. I have only seen some clips of the show and that segment on Youtube, because we never got the signal for C5 back then.

Tanya was a relief weather forecaster for STV in 2007 or 8, but only appeared a few times.
I used to like that weather bird on 5 News Early. Tanya James was it?
Didn't she go to STV or summat?

What's stopping ITV from axing Daybreak? The fact that there are no other breakfast programmes on commercial television right now. Channel 4 doesn't have one, Channel 5 doesn't have one, Sky 1 doesn't have one. Only the news channels currently have anything remotely close to a breakfast show, and none of them are in the same mold as Daybreak, or GMTV before them, or TV-am before that.

I actually think it's doing OK at present, however I think they could extend the Newshour to say 8am, and then start on all the lighter showbizzy entertainment stuff...

And think of something to do with the 8.30am slot when a certain presenter isn't there!

They should promote it as much as they can. 10 second trails throughout the day about what is coming up tomorrow, heavily publicise concerts etc via Faccbook, Twitter, Vine, Instagram, WhoSay and on TV, a re-cut 'Brand New Day' advert etc. ITV News and promote the updates during the programme (some/most regions do) so at the end of NaT it would be "That is it from us tonight. There are news updates throughout Daybreak from six o'clock in the morning, a regional bulletin is next, but first the national weather. From *name* and from me, good night and thank you for watching."
