I didn't think Aled was comfortable, and hate to say it, but the show would do better with another presenter! :/

Shocked Don't you dare!

I thought he was great personally. Just didn't like his top Wink

Not going to lie, would have probably preferred it if he'd had something less casual on! No one on Telly is as casual as he was, felt like a practice run!!

Like I said in the itv programming thread, the guests were more dressed up than he was. An open button shirt with jacket with have fitted nicely, and been relaxed.

As for that YouTube clip I don't understand what it's trying to show. That Aled has had quite a lot of Fridays off? Or that Kate hasn't had any holiday for a while?

Isn't it just to see out his contract in 20 weeks time?

No channel would invest in that! Im sure paying his contract off would be cheeper than developing a whole new programme! They will most likely be trailing the format and then will make adjustments (or as speculated Cut it) after the initial 42 episode run.

Having watched it, I'd say ITV they didn't invest that much in it.

No music apart from titles, stings and close. Would have nice to have had a sting when somebody walks on or a little into break bed.

There's plenty of series commissioned in the UK every year for a less than 20 week run, many of which never get anywhere near 42 episodes over the entire life of the format.

You've taken his point out of context - no tv channel would commission a show just because his contract isn't up.

They would. They still need to fill the airtime, he's contracted and capable, they're looking for something light and fluffy to fill the morning, which he can do - dead easy to just commission a series to last until his current contract runs out.

It's happened before, and I'm sure it'll happen again.

I didn't look that bad a show really. A light format of chatting and a bit of music. There wasn't much to it but it seemed to work.
