Is it just me, or does anyone else not get why Matt Johnson has been picked to host OK!TV? His presenting style really grates on me, he has one of those weak Welsh accents that is neither here nor there and as he talks he frowns or does something else with his eyebrows as if he's at a photoshoot. It all comes across really posey, and he never went down very well on This Morning.


He was truly dreadful in the first episode. That's the only one I've seen.

Something gives me the impression that they weren't in the same room when that promo was shot? In the sequences of them together, Kate seems to be less well lit / placed in the scene. I wonder if it was shot with Denise and they dropped Kate in, in a rush.


Its seems to be quite common to shoot separately then composite promos like this. Gives them more room to manoevre when they add titles and things. Been watch lots of these in the States this week and observed the same thing.

Most probably, but I'd like to think they hastily Photoshopped in Kate Walsh over Denise Van Outen at the last minute. Wink

I think when Live from Studio Five started originally, this did count, but now that the normal 7pm programme has been reinstated, this not longer counts (they have to have a half hour news programme within peak time).

Live From Studio Five was a completely different show when it started which is why it counted. It was a bit like Loose Women/The Wright Stuff only dumbed down even further before they lapsed into a magazine format after the departure of Ian. They didn't just discuss celeb stories.

I hope so, if only to see the reaction of some online posters. Personally I don't see the big deal with DOGs, I don't spend my time staring at the top left hand corner when watching a programme.

Does the new one not animate quickly with red swirls as the previous one did?
It looks as if it's slightly further to the left as they played a clip of JLC's show from Monday where the previous dog was showing through this new one.

The problem I have with the new one is because the circle is that faint it often disappear & looks just like a numeral of arial bold (unsure if this is the font used) on screen.

The circle is very briefly red, but if you blink you miss it.

It still seems to be positioned incorrectly. There is no need to have it in the 4:3 safe area on the HD channel.
